Representatives from Great Britain, United
States, Canada, France, Russia, Poland and South Africa
gathered yesterday at the British Cemetery in Montevideo
to honor the selflessness and courage of their men and women
who fought to uphold the values of freedom and democracy
around the world. The ceremony continued in the Cementerio
Central where French veterans of war were remembered. German,
Spanish and Portuguese delegates also attended to pay homage
to their sacrifice.
