Uruguayan economists travel to the U.S. to participate in regional economic integration program

The group will be visiting Washington DC, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Chicago

Three Uruguayan economists have been invited to visit the U.S. to participate in a program on regional economic integration.

Sergio Botana, general coordinator of municipal development and administration for the city of Montevideo, Gustavo Michelin, second vice president of Banco Republica, and Graziella Romiti, trustee for CARA AFISA of Banco Republica, have been selected to take part of this two-week program.

The economists will visit Washington DC, Raleigh, North Carolina, and Chicago where they will meet with renowned American economists.

James Williard, Deputy Chief of Mission for the U.S. Embassy in Montevideo, met with the Uruguayan economists prior to their departure.
