Uruguayan Pilots Visit U.S. Army Aviation Center

Two Uruguayan delegations of nine pilots each, participated in this subject matter expert exchange

Uruguayan Air Force helicopter pilots visited the U.S. Army Helicopter training center at Fort Rucker, Alabama, during the first two weeks of September.

The pilots were briefed on U.S. training procedures and given the opportunity to operate U.S. military helicopter simulators located at the U.S. Army Aviation School.

The visit was hosted by the U.S. Army Aviation Training Brigade and Helicopter School Battalion which is the U.S. military unit that conducts helicopter training for the United States and its allies in the UH-1 Huey, Blackhawk and OH series helicopters.

Two Uruguayan delegations of nine pilots each, participated in this subject matter expert exchange. Each delegation spent one week at Fort Rucker before returning to Uruguay where the Uruguayan Helicopter Squadron are hosting a reciprocal visit for their U.S. counterparts during the week 26-30 September.
